Default 24v sierra wiring

was wondering if anyone could give me any info on wiring the engine up ? have read that the boa is easier to wire up, but can get the bob cheaper, am i as well paying the extra for the boa as paying less for more of a headache with the bob ? any info greatly appreciated !

Unless you have the full loom diagrams and PATS diagrams for the BOB you will struggle to get it to work outside of the Scorpio.

I run a BOB on BOA ecu and loom. Works fine.

the boa i have the chance of has the loom and i think the ecu, same with the bob, can get the bob for 350 and waiting to hear back about the boa, think the goin rate is about 500. what gearbox are you using ? heard thats ma biggest problem ! did you see the 24v's in retro ford in cortinas ? i was told it would be a plug in and play 200 bhp, think three made about 120-130 and the best one made 176 ?

I had a BOA until the big ends let go. Then fitted the BOB. Had it rolling roaded and it did 220bhp/200ft/lbs. It still needs the VIS on the inlet to work right as its loosing loads of torque mid range.
I had a hybrid MT75 built along with a spare just incase. But they seem to be tough enough so far.

i used, as you said an xr4x4 mt75 and put the rear section of a twincam box onto it, works fine.

those cortina figures are shocking, there was surely something wrong with the weak cars?!

Cost of 2 boxes. XR4x4 V6 Ł100, Dohc 2wd Ł80 and Ł140+VAT to get the V6 front case input shaft fitted to the rear of the 2wd box. Plus overhaul cost(parts)

the only difference really between the 2 engines is in the inlet side of the electricals as the bob engine has one of the flaps for make more power/torque

can't rememeber what they are called now but you can get away with doing some fiddling to the loom to get it to work

otherwise the normal boa loom just plugs up tot he bob connectors and job jobbed

the mt75 willt ake the power, althought he ratio's arent really right to make the most out of the engine like they are int he type 9, but the type 9 tends to berak fairly quickly when you give it some beans with 24V power and torque going through them

if you can find a T5 box and get an adapter thi is probably the better option, although it won't be as cheap

the fordpower forum will give you al the help you need for this sort of stuff though
