SS's are cooler

 

dont the xr2 shells have a bubble in the bottom rear valance .. to allow fitment of the spare alloy in the boot too.....

 

Your xr2 1.9 on 40. Fun ??

 

Think the proper supersports had a bulge in the rear panel to accomidate the spare wheel

 

owned 2 xr2 mk1,s lovely cars,nearly swapped my last one for a minty mint supersport,wish i would have known then the kind of money they fetch now!

 

Front and rear panels on the XR2 have different pressings in them for the bumper mounts, as the xr2 uses 2 bolts per side whereas the SS uses just the one.

Both SS and Xr2 had (or should have) the bulge in the rear panel.
