hi all,
put an efi engine in an MFI escort a few weeks back, and i cant get it to run right. i put the adaptor plate on the head to blank off the efi ports. its pot luck if the car starts or not, these are the symptoms. if it starts it has to start near enough 1st turn, then it revs straight up to 5000rpm, sits there for a minute then eventually calms down? and idles ok. weird. but if it dosent start then it will not start, unles you try again in half an hour. the engine is sweet when it runs. all i know is its got an uprated fuel pump on it, and the breathers may not be right as i couldnt figure out if they are in the right place or not, i mean the small pipes on the right of the inlet manifold,(dizzy advance etc) so i f someone has a close up pic i would appreciate it. or if someone could give me some advice, i am new to MFI as i have always had EFI so pretty useless!
