what are the rules? i always get confused.
is it "non contact" can you nudge?

i can tell straight off its not too bad by the "its only done 1 season" and theres not a 1" thick plate over the drivers door my dad and uncle were into banger and grasstrack for years.

it breaks my heart when you see the rod's as mk1 cortinas, mk1 escorts etc, they always say "it was too rotten to put on the road" but then spend weeks welding and prepping them for racing

hes got my bonet picunion jack with a bulldog only difrence is my cars were white with a red outline all round the car

i used to do the rookie bangers at the old pacies hill raceway,bricked it everytime but loved it

you will get adicted very quickly.

i will eventuly race again..........eventuly lol

are you racing a mud track or tarmac?

as above very addictive, i raced bangers for 3-4 years,the best of crack,the only thing that stopped me racing was i had to start working away,can be costly enough,when you want to be competive,we mods here and there start adding up!as soon as the flag drops the butterflys are gone,good luck with it mate

i raced on mud,plenty of pot holes and in the wet it was like driving on ice

anyone here race at cowdenbeath in fife?

a freind of mine raced a sierra saff(i know i know) well it got so bent that coming out of the track it got stuck on a house brick took 3 of us to rock it over the brick wilst he was driving

if ya get a chance to do the bangers try and get in on a chain race......now theres a rush

yea that was it i think never been there but its the only track local to me.

was hopeing someone on here raced there so i cud tag along ,leased i wud know someone as being english on a scotish track im likly to get targeted lol

Same cars mate but in hot fords only fords,rookie rods any car with 1600 engine.

You have to start in rookies with white roof then yellow think blue then red,so when you get to the red roof you can move up to hot fords,just on points that determine the colour of your roof.....so hopefully il be into hot fords in a year or two if it goes well

cheeRs for the info boothy,i have seen the hot fords at hednesford hills xr paradise,2's and 3's and even orion ghia injecos.

i'll have to pop over to buxton seeing as its not far outa cheshire.

let us know when theres a big banger meeting.

how much does a race licence cost and the entrance fees to compete btw ??

Just £65 a year thats it so cheap racing.paid £450 for the car ready to go,just goin to paint it.....You couldnt build one for that money
