Life after death...
This is a really serious debate here and id be properly interested in your views. Its a delicate subject so bewary as to what you may say that could be interpreted as being offensive as it were. Generaly theres a huge diffrence betweeen life after death in re-incarnation which i guess could lead onto a whol new discussion
but, to recap my readings etc
Reincarnation, however
Interested in peoples views/thoughts
but, to recap my readings etc
This is one of the great questions of life: What happens when we die? Is death the end of human existence and consciousness, or do we continue in some other place or state of being? Do we go to a place of everlasting reward or eternal torment? Are we destined to be reincarnated, coming to life again in a different body in a seemingly endless cycle of living and dying? Will we ever see deceased loved ones again? Is there somewhere you can go to find the answers?
In spite of centuries of research, science cannot tell us when, where or how life began. Only one source tells us how life began and for what purpose. Shouldn't we go to that source to understand the mystery of death? The Bible tells us exactly what happens after death. It tells us what happens to those who have done right and wrong and reveals the fate of the billions of people who have never known God and His way of life.

reincarnation
Reincarnation is the belief that when one dies, one's body decomposes, but one is reborn in another body. It is the belief that one has lived before and will live again in another body after death. The bodies one passes in and out of need not be human. One may have been a Doberman in a past life, and one may be a mite or a carrot in a future life. Some tribes avoid eating certain animals because they believe that the souls of their ancestors dwell in those animals. A man could even become his own daughter by dying before she is born and then entering her body at birth.
The belief in past lives used to be mainly a belief in Eastern religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism, but now is a central tenet of such theories as dianetics and channeling. In those ancient Eastern religions, reincarnation was not considered a good thing, but a bad thing. To achieve the state of ultimate bliss (nirvana) is to escape from the wheel of rebirth. In most, if not all, ancient religions with a belief in reincarnation, the soul entering a body is seen as a metaphysical demotion, a sullying and impure rite of passage. In New Age religions, however, being born again seems to be a kind of perverse goal. Prepare yourself in this life for who or what you want to come back as in the next life. Belief in past lives also opens the door for New Age therapies such as past life regression therapy which seeks the causes of today's problems in the experiences of previous lifes

lol - get real. We are just a slightly more advanced life form on earth. IE - further up the food chain. When were dead were dead. Just like every other animal, mammal, insect and other variety of life. Is there life after death for a plant or a tree?! I don't think so.
People who need to believe there is something better waiting for them rather than dealing with today amuse me. When its over its over.

Load of bollox, as had been said, when your dead your dead.
Life after death... come on. What constitutes just humans having life after death. I suppose the after life is full of dinosaurs, fish, ants and even the chicken I ate today

I'd like to believe in life after death as it would mean i'd get to speak to all the people in my life that are now pushing up daisies. However chances are when you're dead you're dead. It's a nice idea though...

your gone but your spirit aint..
my view is alough yeah you die BUT when your put back into the earth your giving back the the ceatures we have taken from. so in a sence you become part of them. when we decay & rot they will eat us others will eat them & so on, life is endless i beleve
example, someone posted when a plant die's does that mean it comes back as something else? the answer yes, its seeds will spread & re grow the decaying plant will be eaten & put back into somthing else.
i may add more later but as for now that is what i beleve

If there is an after life, do all life forms go, or just humans? if its exclusive to humans why?
I'd hate to think i would spend eternity running away from dinosaurs? will the anglo saxons be there? Vikings? Normans? the renaissance? will they have their own values and religions still?
Is the after life one big WAR due to all the conflicting faiths or beleifs?
So, as soon as you die, are you handed a gun, you have to shoot the big dinosaur chasing you and then fight on the battlefield? will Robin Hood be there?
Or as everyone is a "GHOST" will the bullets just pass strait through them, this would mean the after life is just one big arguement as no one can harm eachother !!!
Who wants to look forward to that ???

a) Your use of Arial Black
b) The fact that you, and others like you just don't get it.
If you open your mind a little further than your religion will allow you'll actually find that we are nothing other than clever animals and ALL religions are a foolish construct intended to trap the gullible into submission.
When we die, the only thing we become is worm food.

Anyone who has done even the smallest amount of reading about religion will reach the same conclusions as I have. Sadly, there are non so blind as those that cannot see!

I used to have the very same attitude, when you are gone, you're gone. I would get so wound up when people told me my loved ones were around me. No one doubted it as much as I did, no-one. To cut a long story short I was in a local when they had a physic night on, and I happened to be drinking in there, and spreading my views on what a load of old rubbish it was.
As I walked to the bar, I was asked 'Did anyone used to give you chocolate?' To which I was about to tell him to go and fuck himself because I was overweight. I said 'Clever, you've hit the nail on the head with that one'. He then asked me who used to give me 50p and some Chocolate. I looked around to work out who told him. He said 'No-one has told me, as true to your word, like your she asked, you never told anyone, did you?' I asked what bar of Chocolate she used to give me, if he was so smart. He never told me, so I thought 'Bollocks' to which he replied 'Did you used to take her home?' I said who? He said a family friend, like a Nan or an Auntie, she wasn't a relative, but was seen as one, you used to take her home, she liked you taking her home, there is a good reason why she preffered you taking her home, and you used to make sure you took her home. I asked him why I took her the long way, is it because she had to avoid someone? Trying to put him off the track. He said no, because you cared, she didn't want to go home'. He finished by telling me she said look after your Mum she's a good lady, and has a big heart. Which is exactly what she told me everytime I took her home. He also said, she said, I was very stubborn still, but not to change. Another thing she said.
How does one man know all this?

When Questions are posted I think its important to answer the Question and directions/principles outlined ~ it was good to read this ~
This is one of the great questions of life: What happens when we die? Is death the end of human existence and consciousness, or do we continue in some other place or state of being? Turn and come to Jesus for Salvation from Eternal Seperation from God and His Prescence, He is Fully Available to All who will come, He has made a Full~Atonement for Iniquity and Sin ~ You can be Saved from the penalty of Your Sin, for it is yours you will answer for and Not anothers, your Denial is a smokescreen for your refusal to own up to your indwelling wickedness and past sin ~ Through an Agonising Death the Risen Saviour atoned for a lost and Cursed Humanity and Eternal Salvation is available to all who will HUMBLE Themslves admitting their evil condition and wrongs, and Call upon Him who is King of kings and Lord of lords, the coming Ruler of all Jesus...
This is my unshakeable confidence as a Bible~Believer
and thanks for reading ~
I was going to post on the other current topic about what to tell a child about Death ~ the answer is the Truth gently when the child is old enough to understand at a suitable time and place ~ the only problem is most people DO NOT KNOW THE TRUTH so how can they tell the Truth ?
One second after you die is one second too late to sort out your destination... Now is the time to call for forgiveness and reconciliation ~ today ~ for you are not promised tomorrow ~
I recognise many are scared to talk about these issues ~ for several reasons ~ the chief being castigated and rejected by others ~ but ~ these others are people whose love and friendship is fickle and flawed anyway ~ so you might as well have the balls to stand by your convictions, and share what you believe to be the Truth ~ Pilate said to Jesus ~ what is Truth ? ~
DO YOU KNOW ? The mass of you Do not ~ the Average brit today is a materialist living in moral darkness far far away from God ( there are exceptions ) Thanks for reading and Happy~Posting
I hate quoting peoples entire post but I had to for this one as my comment in reply is aimed at the whole body of text.

I also believe if, believing in something gives us faith, be it religion, anything, then why not. What I despise, is people forcing their relgion and religious views upon other people. In my college a certain religious group was forcing their religion upon everyone, and in general trying to take over the college, and in the end, someone put a pigs head in the lift. Amused they was not. However, that was Ken Bigley related too.

20K+ Super Poster.
Jesus christ get a grip, some of your flock are on drugs.
We're born we die, best you can do is try to live a bit longer.
Having been technically dead 4 times(comatosed, on life support stopped breathing 4 times) I think it is a load of bull.
