If it was an engine id had zero experience with, and consequently had no base map to start with, then multiply it by 10 and it may just run well enough for me to let you have it back.
Bear in mind i wont give you back a car that doesnt drive something like a factory instalation, unlike some folk who gave one man i know a car back that required the ALS active for it to idle when
cold
you really need to start talking 'real world' stu
how many cars that come in to be mapped are actually 'ready' to be mapped without no other adjustments/faults that need to be made/fixed before the mapping actually takes place , the the faults that occur whilst mapping ?????????
i can quite prob answer that for you as NONE !!!
im as guilty as the next for it , althou not as bad as some (i think)
but, when i do get my car back , i can be confident that its going to do what i asked and be reliable !! oh and i dont have to use my als for cold start, nor does it rev its tits off when i start it from cold

And one tank of fuel, Jesus, I think i remember filling it up twice a day for the week i was there.
Only joking mate!! We did have a few problems along the way. Like when you lunched the clutch you cooooooont!!!!

Aha... the rest of the week:
Hmm..
sort the normal 540bhp mapping.
Get her to run right day to day
Fit and label hundreds of switches
Design and install a fully automated nitrous activation system using as many relays, wires and expensive gadgets as humanly possible
Have the ecu run a secondary map that controlled the nitrous fuelling but only switched in "Automatically" with the nitrous solenoids active.
Ensure the ecu had full control of allowing the nitrous activation only if certain conditions were met.
Ensure rev limiter worked properly in 6th
Get stopped by a police roadblock and almost get arrested
Cook a collection of alternators, wiring looms and clutches.
Leave at stupid o clock for pod and blow the R&D before completing 1/4 of a mile
That was not what i classed a "Normal" mapping session, but it was fookin fun pal... bring on the next one!!

I can catagorically state you are the ONLY customer whos ever given me a car to drive with...
A dog box AND
A clutch i cant depress with one leg AND
Wipers that dont work once 5miles away from unit so i have to hang out of window activating wipers with one hand, then slow, both legs on clutch at junctions, trying to balance it with a 13ft long bright yellow fooking handbrake
Another pleasurable experience though

Well I wouldn't want you to think you had it easy all of the time matey!!
The police road block was deffo the highlight.....
NOT
Along with me shouting to you "Stu will you hurry up with the 8,000RPM mapping point"
Stu replies, "whats the problem pal, were only in 4th"
I shout " No you cooooont were in 6th and going that fast that I can't foooooking see"
Stu rapidly returns with "Ok mate finished now"
Was a top week!!!

Your skin went whiter than your eyes pal... and im not surprised

Fooking close shave that one!!
Was a top week!!!
Dont suppose you can make Nicoles birthday pissup on Saturday?

From what i can see, the T6 has base maps which u then adjust with secondry inputs - each of which can be configured individually. Not done any mapping, but have done a fair bit with control systems in general. Are things like response time of modifer maps adjustable? What about delta?
The t6 looks to me what id expect from a modern control system. On something like std cossie management, what's missing? Are there less modifier parameters, or do these exist, but themselves not mappable?

Stu,
Can T6 utilise any sensors, as in Bosch or Marrelli or even Denso sensors which may have a slightly diferent rage to each other? I assume it can also run 4 or 5 bar map sensors? Plus, does it need a particulr wideband lambda or will it work with a Bosch LSU4 for example? Does the EGT input need to be an L or K type thermo couple?
What could the turbocharger speed sensor iput be utilised for?
That should get your T6 topic moving for you!

I must say I'm starting to enjoy these mapping posts ( the one I posted while at XR-RS's house ages ago and this one ) ....even though I know nowt about it LOL
It's refreshing to come onto a forum (some I use are just drivel at times) and read something interesting and something which is of some use.
Keep them coming Stu

After reading this, I think I need to get the Westy booked in with you Stu to have it mapped 100% and get you to do all the gadgets like launch and stuff.
Fancy that?
Not sure how we would do the flat out stuff your talking about like in Seans car as there is no f%&king way I would be anywhere near my Westfield flat out at 8000 revs in 6th........You can do that bit with another volunteer!!!!!!
