Default Any tv ariel/sky specialists/installers on here?

I have an outlet plate I want to put on my wall and I cant figure out how the hell to wire it up

I have 5 cables coming to the box. Two Co-ax ( one carrying signal from amp in loft and one returning it ), phone cable, and my two sky plus cables.

However on the back of the socket there are only places for 4 cables

Phone, co-ax ariel return, co-ax fm ariel ( unused ) and another co-ax ( presumably to take cable carrying signal from the amp )

however there's nowhere to put the two sky cables in, but there are two f=type outlets on the front?

It seems to me that I am needing something to combine the sky+ cables and my co-ax into one co-ax before it goes to the back of this outlet plate....is this possible?

Fucking confused!

to use that plate you would have to combine one of your sat feeds and your tv aerial together , before the socket probably best in the loft if the cables run that way , then you would have input 1 tv/sat input 2 sat , then return , then bt , if you cant do that you could look for a modular plate where you can fit single modules for each cable you have

yep , but you only need to combine 1 of the sat input s with your aerial the 2 sat feed will go straight into input 2 on the socket

so you have one like this ?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TRIPLEXED-OUTL...3%3A1|294%3A50

if so it s no good to you , you need a quad version like this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/QUADRAPLEXED-O...3%3A1|294%3A30

this one will have 2 inputs on the rear of the quad plate(tv/fm/dab /sat1/sat2) and 1 separate one for the return and 1 for the bt , the 2 input s on the rear of the quad plate it just has one outer braid clamp for both inputs you slacken this off and the center core of each cable just pushes inside and the braid clamp tightens onto both the cables in one go , it might look like only one connection but there is deffo 2 there , make any sense ? should look something like this one

http://www.satcure.com/tech/triax_304114.htm

or something simpler ?

I got it now....use one input for tv ariel and one for the two sky cables joined together using this http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...C=SO&U=strat15

Agreed?

not quite , this is why you need to combine your aerial with one of the sat cables as you have 3 cables but only 2 connections , so once you have combined tv aerial and one sat feed the cable from your combiner will go into input 1 this will give you tv and sat coming out of the front of the socket , then your 2nd sky cable will just go straight into input 2 giving you just sky signal for your 2 input on your sky box , these plates are mainly used with communal tv or loft boxes , but you can still use them for what your doing

still not quite , one of your sat feeds will go into the sat side of this combiner http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Satellite-...294:50&afsrc=1 your tv aerial will go into the other side and the common out put will go into input 1 of the quad socket , then 2nd sat feed straight into input 2 of quad plate
