where do these normally fit?
are they bolted to the body? so the heatshink is earthed by bolting to the chassis?

reason i ask is in the wiring diagrams it says your supposed to connect an earth lead out of the ign amp onto the heatsink then to the engine
i want to know if i can bolt the heatsink down to the chassis, earthing it or if i need to insulate it from the chassis 1st

There on the passenger side inner wing , screwed to a alloy plate

Sure its screwed mate

 

Alloy plate is just screwed to the inner wing near battery, they need to have FUJIC or similar between amp and alloy plate to aid heat dissipation though.
