Mods, please leave this here for a couple of hours as I need this sorting asap.

Right, when switching on the pc it brings up a "windows is loading the files screen then I have to select a lanuage then it brings up " the tech guys screen ". I then have options to tick, they are

Start microsoft windows repair environent
Reinstall windows
Advanced options
Exit and restart computer.

I've tried them all but the reinstall windows as i've missplaced my copy of vista.

When in the windows repair environent I've tried all the options, even the system restore to the furthest date possible

So my question is what the hell has happened and what can can I do to make it work!!!

Install XP and bin vista

 

Hmm sounds like the screen you'd get if you put a windows disc in the drive and restart the pc.

Did you do anything on the pc prior to this? or has anyone else used it without you knowing?

 

Thats what ive done about 4 times in the past 2 years, thinking vista might have improved, but i was wrong

nothing wrong with Vista. Ive been using it from day one and i use 64Bit with no issues.

 

Pmsl think I've just found my back up of vista LOL, went burn some photos last night and put in what I was thinking a blank disc

try booting from a windows disk and making a repair install, that should fix it
