What a pointless article IMHO
The golf steering apparently goes so wobbly over 160 that you can only drive it in a straight line, and it has a top speed of just 180mph, how the hell is that "beating" a veryon which can do 250mph with ease and is totally driveable at any speed?
Usual bollocks you would expect from the sun I guess
Bet the 0-60 time was done at Trax too
VERY cool car, just not really what they are presenting it as IMHO

an attempt at a morale boosting story... average joe spends less than millionares but beats them in one way or another...
nice car! not knocking it, but would have been better in a proper aticle about it, not just the grand statement of "VEYRON BEATER" when it blatantly doesnt!

Im not saying it doesnt really do that quarter mile time mate, but just that given the main claim to fame the bugati has is its 250mph top speed and this drag car does a 180mph top speed, I dont really see how its faster.
I wouldnt claim to be "better than eric cantona" in a national newspaper cause im better at mapping than him even though im rubbish at football

Oooooooo argh Chipara !
Its meerly an article showing what can be home built and something that is as fast up the strip as a supercar.
No different to you racing a Lambo up the strip in the Nova and having a little story in the paper to highlight this. Gets some coverage too of the scene and also coverage for companies that have supported the car.
Its the SUN paper hardly the Gospel but still a rapid car all the same.
If its faster over the line 1/4mile its faster! Topspeed is different this is Rods department

Anybody got a full spec on the car? Just read the article in the sun and thought wtf...
Looks like a 1.8 turbo lump - assuming has to be 4wd to do that sorta 0-60...

don't forget that the bugatti owner will be getting coseted by his car (and possibly sexy passenger) as well as doing 70 mph more than the golf
