so i belive that u've been trying to slag me and my mates off from when
we went to brunters! big deal i do a wheel spin in front of u and its the end of the world is it?u should know lots about wheel spining and hitting the limiter on your car, seen as thats all u do when u TRY to launch your car! your probably one of the worst drives ive ever seen! i drive over 200 miles 2 get there, and then race down the track, beating your times with a slipping clutch and then drive over 200 miles home! u get your nail of a car there sounding rough as ne thing back poping and spluttring and then get crap times! u think your good with your 161mph? i had mine at 157mph @ 4500 revs on low boost! so at the end of the day i'll drive MY car how i want 2 without geeks like u sticking your nose in!!!!!!!!!!!

I did what I went there to do. I couldn't even tell you to this day what my sprint times were as my main objective was to crack the 160mph mark, which I did, even with the spluttering you describe. Just goes to show the limited knowledge you have as that 'back-popping' you refer to is a Hard-Cut rev limiter.
I have seen my car through many years of development and alot of pain/time/money etc to get it where it is. I always drive it an event and to date have always driven it home too, that in itself is an achievement.
My point is, and continues to be, that its driving like that, right on the doorstep of the venue, that spoils it for all of us. I dont very often speak out about someones driving style and am fairly open minded, but that garage had been dead helpful to us that morning and it was quite obvious that you were part of the same event that we were, so it looked bad on us.
Also, for the record I never said anything about your mates.

why was the petrol station helpfull to u? did it sell u some petrol? well obviously

yeah u may laugh! we'll see next time with a bit more power whos roaring past u when my car will be 180mph! then u wont be so cleaver! the cars got all the potential it needs and thats cause it was set up and built by a real performance tuning company!

I don't doubt that Motorsport Developements are one of the best Ford Tuners in the country and I won't let this thread drain into a slating of them. However, your car won't do 180mph, let alone 190mph without considerably more money spent on it. I'm not sure if you understand the implications of going at that speed and what is required of the engine.
Unless you are running VERY tall gearing, with which it would take you 2-3 miles to reach that speed, you will need a VERY strong bottom end to cope with 9000+rpm and a turbo that can produce good power up there. I think we all know that you don't have that.
Lets put things into perspective. I made an observation. I wasn't bitchy or callous, I merely described what I saw and you have taken offence. Fair play, I don't blame you for that. We could have talked about it over the phone or by PM. You chose to address a thread with my name and slate me. Now you have made an utterly ridiculous claim, which will see you laughed at by everyone. Don't blame me for that. You brought that on yourself.

tell me j282 are you really sure your car will do 180 or 190 if so please tell me more id like to up the performance of my XR2 do you think it will be able to crack 200mph if so ithink i will stop waisting my time with the cossie and concentrate on my 1.6 xr2.............pmsl
