zvh EFI problem, overfuelling or underfuelling? hmmm
i have an xr3i efi, recently i have fitted a n/a ZVH engine, its all steel etc, big valve head and piper 285 T2 turbo cam. (this may be the problem).
right, the engine came out of a car running MFI and i have converted it to run EFI. in the MFI car it ran spot on, idling and revved lovely. now i did a rally with it last night and it wa a nightmare, it cut out every time i came to a stop, it revs fine after 2000rpm but useless before sounds like its missing! it pops like hell from the exhaust when backing off in gear, and runs REALLY lumpy!! becasue of this it almost failed the noise test. thje engine otherwise pulls great after 2000rpm! now it has a superchip, FSE power boost valve, could these be casuing anything? it also has a vernier pulley which could possibly be a degree out maybe. nbow i know i should get it set up but its got to cost at least 300 which i just done have! so any advice to sort it out would be great.

On a more serious note, I'm agreed I think he need's a remap as the Mfi will be set to a 1.6 Cvh on his car, the other option is to swap the Mfi onto his car from the car the engine came from...
