10K+ Poster!!
Well done to you both on both cars times.
Robs definately suprised and I hope shut a few people up, not shy for a non drag setup car.
Chip your car really has some potential that maybe now your starting to appreciate.
Sort out all the niggly problems and get the power upto whatever you dare and I feel it will run a 10, great 60fts especially when the rear geometry was so far out !
Thanks again for the tickets, seemed silly to stay when a warm house and was only round the corner

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Not bad Spanish, not bad at all.
Will have to catch up soon, mines back on the road again, taxd and mot'd.
Chip what's the rough spec of the nova? Is there a thread about it anywhere?

chip, not slaggin your build, saw ur car on sat, n i love it,
but dont you think a 38mm gate is a little small for a 35?
ive always found it hard to control boost with bigger turbos using a 38mm, so i use 44mm ones now

It goes as low as .9 bar and has high as 1.9 bar without too much drama, so im not sure its a problem TBH mate, but yes im sure a 44mm would be even better but I just didnt happen to have one of them lieing around, likewise the turbo, I had that already bought just cause it came up at good money so I figured I would give it a go.
If I was really bothered about doing 1/4s well it would be on a 3071 or a 3076 instead to spool quicker and then topped up with nitrous.
My car is just about having a bit of fun though, its got no specific purpose its aimed for, so although the 35R is too big for drag racing it probably, its great for on the motorway etc

Keep it light, electric windows and things like that are great when im driving the car over to belgium with the mrs for the weekend etc like we used to do, but not great for drag racing.
Dont use a front end in the back, go for a trailing arm or proper rear end DWB setup.
I think you have those things covered already though, Im sure your car will be MUCH faster than mine, and probably handle a lot better too

Best things I can offer advice wise based on what is crap about my car:
Keep it light, electric windows and things like that are great when im driving the car over to belgium with the mrs for the weekend etc like we used to do, but not great for drag racing.

Yeah I got those bases covered but like you my car is for having fun in, I don't expect great things from it but if they happen then it's all good.
Would b nice to have a proper nose round yours sometime
Last time I saw it was on the last run to the garlic LOL
I think it's time for another 1 of them LOL
This time I can take the 5

Crikey, that must have been about 6 or 7 years ago that I took my nova over to france/belgium, its certainly changed a LOT since then!
Zvhrst, yeah its great fun on track, although would like to use it more than I have so far, but noise is a big issue to me currently.
Video of Si B following me at Mallory.
Was on semi slicks on the front, and narrow wets on the rear, if you are wondering about the lack of rear end grip, the rear tyres got damaged earlier and these were all I had left to use!

Won't be for a while I don't think! Petes engine in bits. My Corsa will be ready first (Note: that IS a joke!)
Looking at the video a lot of time could be re-couped on the launch. What was his 60ft?

Yeah Chip that is the time! All 4 of us searched by the Army as they thought we had a car full of drugs
Rollinz bought another car now so Corsa even further down the priority list. On the plus side I went to see it last week for the first time in like 2 years. Maybe I'll get inspired. I had sold a few bits but come the day the kid never showed. So could still lob it together I suppose.
