7.30 police knocking at door they arrest my mums boyfriend an sieze the car not sayin anything not fuckin happy they then say it was a serious offence like robbery 5 days ago!!!! 5 days ago i had it on axle stands with the water pump out so the car was died!!!! would i have to pay for the car to be released?????

i sold a subaru to a lad who was very happy until the plod seized the car,he had insurance,tax,mot and the messers tugged him on sunday when the dvla or whoever them lot get their info from can't check properly until the next day. the reason was the car had been in the trade for a year and not taxed in that time and the insurance wasn't showing even though he had his certificate,they insisted people get a month then cancle still having the certificate and were gonna take the car regardless,so juliet bravo was far too keen and had it seized.

then i get juliet bravo ringing me asking questions so i gave her a hard time saying she was wasting my time and shes a crap copper and the car belongs to the lad i sold it too, she kept asking questions and then the penny dropped when i told her how the last owner sold the car and the yellow bit on the right hand top piece of the v5 had been filled in and sent off to the dvla in accordance with the dvla'a own guidelines.
the log book was at swansea going in the new keepers name.

To be fair in my experience with the police, they dont arrest people unless they have a good reason too and think they can keep hold of said arrested person and charge them after doing some investigation.

Sure they get things wrong, like in my case, but they do find out quite quickly if they had.

surely if nothing is found and no charges brought they return it in its previous condition ? just like when they crash through your door, if nothings found they repair the damage , if they do find anything you repair it yourself.
