I have a 1.6 zetec bottom of this page is this guy talkin balls?

other than putting a 1.8 or 2.0 modeo or GTI engine is there any parts of a 1.8 that would benifit my car and would it need setting up on the rr if i changed say the inlet manifold and cams from 1 .8?????

The 1.6 is an economy engine, I would listen to Escort_zetec (wardy on other sites) he knows what he is on about

I need some advice with a ZETEC as well.

Its on a little 1.25 fiesta zetec, problem being its 'pinking', even with superunleaded in it.

What could be making it pink and how can I sort it (I am guessing the ecu sorts out the timing and it cant be changed by me?)

The 1.6 Zetec E would be a great little engine with a turbo/charger, but tbh why would you spend the money on it when a 2.0 is alot better. You can get the 2.0 for very cheap now

ive had 2 1.25 fezzies there shit hot and pretty nippy for what they r used to nail my m8s punto saxo and clio all day long
