ebay purchase...is this cheap?wastegate question!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123
this is the wastgate i'm close to buying. I run 30 psi, 450bhp, and the seller has recommended i go for the 1 bar spring, wheras i have had advice off here for a 7 psi (0.5 bar) spring
I have no in car boost controller, just a bleed valve type application on the pipe running from the wastegate to the turbo
I have NO knowledge when it comes to external wastegates, i know there basic function but i do not know how the spring pressures affect performance and what to use in what application - any advice will be very welcomed. please answer in simple terms please!!
cheers

The page states :
"What wastegate spring pressure is right for you?
The spring pressure represents your base-line boost pressure. If using the wastegate WITHOUT a boost controller, the spring pressure in the wastegate is the amount of boost you will make. (i.e. 6 psi spring in the gate, your car will make 6 psi of boost) If using the wastegate WITH a boost controller, the pressure can be increased above the wastegate's spring pressure, but NOT below it. (i.e. 6 psi spring in the gate, the boost contoller can not decrees boost below 6 psi, only increase above it) When using a boost controller, the lower the spring pressure used in the wastegate, the larger range of adjustably you have. If using the wastegate without a boost contoller, pick a spring that's closest to the amount of boost you want to run"
I take it i class my bleed valve type application as the boost controller, so from this quote i should get the lowest spring pressure possible?? i don't know...help!
