It's worth installing BOTH of the above, as each sometimes picks up on other items the other may miss. Don't forget to update them with the latest definitions after installing too.

I had adware 6 and spysweeper running and neither could get rid of them

Took me hours to get rid but all done now. Had to go uninstalling loads of programs that had installed them selfs on my computer without asking for installation

I just had a similar problem. Last night just before 2am I clicked a link on google and a trojan "dropper" installed it self, AVG notified me, so I went to delete. Then it re-installed 38 times It's take me 6hrs of work to get the PC back to normal

I ended up having to dis-install Ad-Aware 6, and download a new version of Ad-Aware Personal SE. Ad-Aware 6 only found 70 objects. Personal SE found 325 so deffo worth it that one as it finally got my machine sorted again....

Ran AVG to find 29 trojan diallers and 9 trojan "droppers" - eachone when deleted installes itself several times, but fortuantely I managed to get them all out before they could re-install....

bastard internet

dya know what a dso exploit is?
Its a back door way into your PC. Always make sure you have the latest Windows Updates as its been patched with a fix for a while now. If you still see it after running your prog (and you have installed all critical updates) then you can tell it to ignore this result in the advanced sections of the sweeper program.
