Default Love it or hate it, I was reminded today why I live where I live...

This is my 4 mile cycle to work in the morning...

This is the view at sunset...

Admittedly you perhaps dont get as much house for your money as you could in many other northern areas, but how many people would trade a slightly bigger house to have this to walk the dog on at night, or to take the kids playing at weekend?

No car, bus or taxi needed, this is the bottom of my street. Under 2 minutes walk to the views above.

I live in a place called Norbreck mate, near Cleveleys. I am just a bit further than the Castle you can see on the right.

Tony, Ive got some great winter shots in storms, will have to dig them out. Winter is awesome, makes you feel alive being on the coast in a storm.

Mind you, it also makes you feel pi$$ed off when the bloody roof gets blown off and the tiles go through the boot of your car!

Like Stu, you gotta show some love to the area you live, regardless where it is. I live near Bangor, so got the benefit of beautiful landscapes ranging from the Snowdon Mountains, to long beaches on Anglesey. Not to mention the typically awsome driving roads

and some of the beaches...

Take a picture of the Cleveleys area of the promenade and it looks so much better. I reguarly walk the dog along the beach up there and near where the riverdance illegally parked.

Cracking views

My garden goes straight out to the dunes and a 10 min walk sees me down at the sea. PERFECT for walking the dog or taking the kids out

Any chance of editing your post so you dont show all the photos AGAIN?

Stu
I've been to Blackpool once and think i was 15 at the time. We stayed at a hotel where they also had a snooker qualifying tournament on. For one of the main tournaments i think. Would that be the Norbreck? Name rings a bell and the 1st pic does too!

It started to sink into the sands and went completely over and carried on sinking and tilting past 90 degrees. They left it in the sand too long before deciding to try and right it then ended up cutting it into thousands of pieces and removing it bit by bit on the back of a truck.
