Likewise. I had a 5-pot Coupe, and while it was no UR, it was a really good car and sounded awesome at full chat! Put the poor thing on its roof though!

I love these - get it bought!

A couple of days ago, a red one pulled up next to me at the lights. Looked 100% original with the white multispoke wheels, absolutely georgeus!

i dont know a lot about these ,make sure its a turbo,(has the wide arches) because the normal coupe isnt worth that much, on an a reg it will be a 10valve, the later ones (about 1987)were 20valve and much faster..i was looking to buy one a few years ago and decent ones were over 5 grand.....oh and the parts are expensive

IIRC they came with both analogue and digital... it depends on the year of manufacture as to what the car will have fitted.

1983 onwards cars went from analogue to digi. Early digis were green, later ones orange, but I don't know when they changed. - Although a fair few have been swapped back since. I think the last of the line went back to analogue, but I'm not 100% on that.

The UR model is not just a wide body quattro its the road legal version of the 80s rally car worth anywhere up to 100k (depending on its heritage), it has a shorter wheelbase and has about as much in common with other quattro's as the rs500 has in common with a 1.6gl.
that car does look like a bargain tho ! get it bought

Love these cars. They restored one recently on wheeler dealers which I've found on youtube below.

Should give you a rough idea on what you've got to take on
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4

No, you're thinking of the 'Sport quattro'. UR just means it was the first in the line. It's also used to denote the original S4, S6 etc (UR S4, UR S6)...

The Audi Ur Quattro was a Quattro programme car developed for homologation for Group B rallying in 1984, and sold as a production car in limited numbers. It featured an all aluminium alloy 2,133 cc (2.1 L) 20v DOHC engine slightly smaller than that of the Audi Quattro. In road-going form, the engine was capable of producing 302 bhp with the competition cars initially producing around 444 bhp.

The vehicle also featured a body shell composed of carbon-kevlar and boasting wider arches, wider wheels (nine inches as compared to the original Quattro's optional eight inch wide wheel rim), the steeper windscreen rake of the Audi 80 (requested by the Audi Sport rally team drivers to reduce internal reflections from the dashboard for improved visibility) and, most noticeably, a 320 mm (12.6 in) shorter wheelbase. This was carried out in order to improve handling potential in the face of newer, smaller competition, such as the Lancia 037 and the Peugeot 205 T16, which had been purpose-built from the start for Group B rules.

Copied from a random audi site, so i might well be wrong as its where i got my info

Whoever wrote that site copied the info direct from Wikipedia and substituted the words 'Sport Quattro' for 'Ur Quattro', so the site's wrong
