Its a journey we made in my old car years ago and I'm feeling the need to do it all again, the wife can come but I have already booked her flight just in case!

I know this isnt a for sale post, and you're not thinking about selling it but how much would something like that cost someone if you were going to sell it which obviously you're not of course.

Theres nothing clever about Topspeed just Power. But all you have to do Martin is as follows. The Mondy did 182 with 400bhp according to your goodself, if thats true, you will require the following horses, to beat the current record of 206.1mph only 650bhp to match the 210.3 we ran un-officially at Woodbridge will require 700bhp. To go over 215mph, which im sure mine will do will need 760bhp & if you can muster 800bhp then 218mph will be on the cards. The uk record is not far off & 850bhp will beat the current record of 223mph set by a Porsche with a Dynoed 1000bhp & then you will sir be at the Top of the UK 200mph club for road cars (1.5MILES). I wish you well, it looks SIMPLE !!!.

From all the suggestions to put a powerful Cosworth lump back in, why don't you do the opposit and just stick a sensible and reliable standard cosworth engine in it and use as a daily driver? Surely that's better than having it sit in some corner without a heart or selling on to some numpty who will innevitably kill it
