when we have mk2 mondys in it doesn't take alot to have them written off tbh matesorry to say this it deos depend on how bad the accident is we would replace the bumper on it but i doubt you'd have new wings or front panel, how bad is it.

i'd say it was deffo borderline to be honest mate we wouldn't repair it i no that much, but you can buy it off your insurers cheap and get paid out for the car get it fixed yourself with secondhand bit's in the right colour then it would be as near as back to normal it will be a class c write off but it's getting more common nowadays and if you didn't sell it then who's to care .
i no how shit it must feel if you liked the car but i honestly think it will be written off sorry to be the bearer of bad news if accident and repair centers could use second hand bits it would be different, but for sourcing reasons it wouldn't be viable

even though it doesn't sound alot the price will be bumped up in the painting of the new bumper and bonnet then blowing in the job over the wing's and maybe doors so that's the reason it would be quite expensive to sort out the by a repair center

you might get away with that then! but remember they have to use geunine parts, so might be borderline. at worst you will get a write off and the chance to buy it back as a CAT D, but it will be scrap value of around £100...
thats my experience from having a dopey sod reverse out infront of me on a straight road and ruin the rear qtr panel... .
car was worth a grand, but the work and original parts were gonna cost £800, plus i had a courtesy car for 2 months, so it was written off! now its a CAT D and has paid for itself. so it could be a blessing in disguise!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
So he's written you a note accepting liability??
You might want to read the small print on ANY insurance documents and you could quite easily find that his insurance might get a bit arsey over that, they say that under no circumstances are you to accept any liability at any point when in a RTA thats for them to decide.
Any how, if i was you, you need to get at least 3 adverts with a very similar car of yours (if you were to dispute their offer) and prove the money you claim is what its worth.

cant see you getting over 6-700 for it if your are lucky, buyback is 25% of the pay out
the value will be whatever it can be reasonable replaced by in teh ads and no new less any previous rust or damage
ie my missus had an escort si (rs lamp model) written off over a headlamp and little scratches, they valued at £800, less £200 for a rusty arch, £200 buy back we got £400 off em and fixed the lamp for £20 and polished the scratches out, sold it for £400 so we got it right in the end as realistically the car was worth £400 tops
