Personally I've had no interaction with them, so I can't speak for myself..
But I rarely (if ever) hear anything good about them..
Apart from the guy who has the RS garage, I saw his posts and he appeard to be a really nice guy!

i think its got a very bad stigma online now after all the hassle years ago, which infact caused PF to begin 
who remembers it all? rsoc closing the site for weeks because they spat there dummy out the pram, they were a bunch of reet coonts back then, a good 70 percent of us never renued our yearly fee
however offline i expect its as strong as ever, most blokes with rs's are a member as the wifey bought it for crimbo etc

All the people have dealt with when I was a member of the rsoc where nice and helpful people.
But I found when I use to to the hampshire meets they where the most open and kind

you have been told of for bedroom trading and your not happy
Have you thought about PMing a committee member and having your say about not being a trader rather than just trying your best to start shit ?

Seeing as this place took off/started on a shut down on the RSOC BB we have a lot to be thankful for for it.
And personally its the people that make it- a lot of 'us' were on there originally and now on here.. only thanks to the freedom of speech (ish) here most of us dont go back.

Here we go again,
It's simple really as i've said before - pay you subs if you want to be in the club if not then don't moan, people forget the website is there for members but they kindly let the public join to be nice but then they bitch, the club can't win.
Problems with the club several years ago arn't relevant now as many of the board have been replaced/moved on.
The clubs what you make of it really, but remember it's there for fun.

i,m a member of the rsoc and my membership is actually due for re-newall soon which i will also renew when i get a chance ,
i use both sites this and rsocbb but i find are 2 totally different sites
rsoc site is full of friendly ENTHUISIASTS and always willing to help
this site you see more and more people on here that HATE fords for some reason which i still cant understand why they come on here
yet its always the same few trying to say they hate the rsoc yet i guarentee the majority of them thru out the show season will attend at least 1 if not more shows actually put on by the rsoc
another thing a dont understand is that people grudge the £30 a year to join the rsoc and u get rallye news magazines regularly , yet they,ll happily pay money for a gold membership on here no questions asked

Do you go to the local meets?? it appears to me that those areas with the solid groups have the happier members. We have a great group, successful show and loads of fun throughout the summer and all for £30 and a free magazine - bargain

If it was just about the money spent to join the rsoc then Im quids in all ready by the saving I make on national day tickets alone. But thats not why I joined the RSOC, nor is it the reason that the poster has started this thread. The thread was started because another forum has said no to him selling his parts, so he thought the best method of convincing them otherwise was to start a poll griping about it on this forum

As said above i think the RSOC is more for the enthusiast and i enjoy the forum and there are some great people on there who enjoy there fords.I think there are to many ford haters on here who do nowt but moan about fords etc but it is entertaining at times and sometimes annoying

i wont be renewing.
ive had lots of agro during my 4 year membership, the people that run it are a joke, they promise you one thing and then do the opposite.
the new trader thing is pathetic, ive been asking for them to provide the members with set rules to abide by for months, and yet they are just deciding when they feel like it, who they class as a trader....its very unprofessional and a complete joke tbh.
at least here you can see the rules to follow, on there, if your mates with the mod im sure youl be fine, otherwise no chance as he may decide your a trader if he feels like it.

if you break a rule on here, you can be shown in black and white the rule yoiu have broken, and there can be no argument...
you suposedly break a rule on the rsoc, and ask why, its because he felt like it
i have not been classed as a trader, in my 4 years+ i think i have had 1, thats one for sale post on there as far as i can remember, but i can totally see where the problem some people have is, ive sold alot more on ebay, and the fact they charge me makes no differnece at all, because ebay have rules, you can actually see them and everything!

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
No complaints from me. Insurance was worth the joining fee alone. All those that bitch and moan about it, perhaps should give up there spare time and organise the running of the club
