Or do you actually contribute as a member ? You get from a club exactly what you put into a club end of like many people have said, Gotta love keyboard warriors lol

ive given lots of time to the club,

check my post count, and look and them, i bet 99% of them are in tech section HELPING other members,

i got nothing for it, and didnt want anything

but im not going on there now, so whos lost out? certainly not me

Never joined,as i always found there was an element of snobbery,if you dont on a 500 ,concure's 3dr etc they kinda turn there noses up at us ppl with mear saff's.plus there isnt a meeting in my area

I was a member for the RSOC thing for years. There are many good things about it, but I didn't renew last year as it had begun to get on my nerves somewhat.

The final straw was the whole problem with the Escort Cosworth registrar which the committee made sorting out an absolute nightmare. A club's supposed to be fun - not a struggle to get anything changed/done. After that I lost my enthusiam for the whole thing.

How true,
I was without membership for a few weeks due to a few members,Particuly one person who should know better in his posistion who were doing a good job of ruining the club but then i thought what the hell and joined again and the fee alone was worth it to be a part of the Notts group

And when the thread starter say Comity i presume he means Comittee
If so i have found everyone i talk to on the comittee very friendly and helpfull.

if the only thing people can find to moan about is the fact they cant sell shit for free, then it cant be bad.
I have been a member since i came back to the uk, wasnt worth it whilst abroad though.

I have made loads of friends, a few enemys but on the whole it is a cracking club,,,,,,,,
If "you get involved" thats what its all about for me , participation is the key.

Biggest load of pish on this thread. i've got a 125k miles S1, never a show car in it's puff, clean and goes well tho, and I have never ever encountered any of that. In fact the only time I hear about it is on Passionford threads, like this.


That's right cos the magic RS Genie helps puts on that show.

People owe the RSOC a lot more than they realise imo.
