Default Help! really confused!

Hi all!
The other night I was reading a post about Erst strut braces.
Came across a post by T28 RST, with a few pics of a handmade brace, with a bracket in the middle, with a smaller brace bolted on to the engine, look to have a large bush between the "engine brace" and the strut brace.
I couldn't understand why you would brace the engine to a strut brace. So put two pics of it on my phone and showed a friend and mega engineer for 40 odd years, he'd never heard of ssomething like that, also so asked two younger mate in the tunning/motorsport world, and they weren't sure why either?
Can anyone help?

Would the natural rocking of the engine not pass the car more and affect handling, or its a imporvement?
Because, im only looking to tune my car to 200bhp, well capable of more but mapped doen to 200bhp and go mad on handling, so its super tigh in the bends.

I would have thought the extra brace would act much like an uprated engine mount on tuned engines, bracing the engine so theoretically the energy produced by the engine is used to turn the wheels not rock the engine back and forth (this may be total and utter bollocks though).
The brace would probably also put your gearbox under more strain too.

the brace would put less strain on the gearbox mounts

but possibly more strain on the actual gearbox internas themselves

Is not a good idea to go down this path of strut brace? leave it at a normaly one?
