missus just had a lorry flick up a stone and bust her heated screen, do we have comeback on them?

would be good as we dont have screen cover,

cheers (lorry driver known from local firm)

im a wagon driver and i apperntly bust a windscreen on a merc,my boss paid for a new 1 but i was protesting cos the prick in the merc was 2foot from my backdoor,all id say is try your luck but doubt you'll get it paid for.

eh? why was it the lorry drivers fault that there was a stone in the road? you would be a complete arse if you did try to claim for something that happens liek that. if you didnt take out windscreen cover, then front up the cash! or make sure you have it on your policy next time!

i know that our company has claimed for a windscreen when a stone flew off the back of a skip lorry and broke a windscreen, but if it's on the road then it's just bad luck

the lorry was carrying shingle so its kinda an insecure load, was pulling out if its yard goin the other way

its not stupid, my uncle used to drive for them and they used to have a co that replaced them in this situation but that was 5 years ago and i was wondering if it was common practice

and going by the comments it may be worth belling em up
