Flash help needed asap!!
Ok so heres the deal.
My boss thinks I'm a wizzard when it comes to Macromedia flash...Dunno How he got that idea (must be something to do with my dodgey CV and automatic response of "yeah i can do that!")
Anyway, basically our firm has a flash presentation showing off out software - basically theres a few details that need changing within the presentation and the firm he did it want to charge us 2 grand!!!
Now my boss has given me the job to "sort it!"
The file itself is a "Macromedia Projector" file. Is there anyway I can decompile this back to its original flash files?
This really is a life or death situation guys!
Any help would be apprecaited and there is a pint in it for whoever can help!
many thanks

I used to use Flash/Dreamweaver/Fireworks quite regularly so i know a bit but its been a while so im not saying this is definately the way to do it.......
I seem to remember there was an option to "Open Project" once in Flash, possibly in the "File" menu??
I think if you were to do this you would then be able to edit the individual sections/items. Like i say i havent used it for ages so i may be wrong but if that is any help then ill be chuffed.
If you still havent sorted it by tonight when i get back from work ill fire Flash up on my PC and find out exactly how to do it.
Also somewhere you might get more help is www.pcformat.co.uk
There forum is very helpful and usually has a quick response.

Also, if its any help, it appears the file was created in a program called "Macromedia Director"
If I open this file in this program what are the chances I can revert it back to its original state?

Have u got "Director"? I would say if you download the trial version from the Macromedia homepage you would be able to use it to edit to your requirements. Im still unsure cause im on a work pc and havent got access to any Macromedia programs.
http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/td...oduct=director
Try that........

NOPE, you won't easily open an EXEcutable file using the tool that created it - sorry....
You would need the source file from the developer and the package which then created the exe........ if it was a .swf however, I could have helped ya
