Default is there any reason i couldnt....

on an automatic where you can only start when it is in "parked" but this function broke (solonoid went kaput) so car is wired that you turn key to "2" then earth a wire manually to turn the car over then un earth it once started, could i just put a push button start in the earth wire and fit inside the car? Obviously fuse it and use a relay. But essentialy just use the switch to make the connection instead of me popping the bonnet and eathing the wire!? I see no reason why not, but if anyone has a different view please say!
Hope that all made sense! Sorry if not!

Cheers

yeh... as a bodge I dont see why not. or you could just fit a "push to make" switch (which is all a starter button is).

opening the bonnet each time seems alot of effort to start the car each time!
