Think we might try and turn the boost on the focus down a little tomorrow so Ian can have another crack at it, its SO aggressive as it comes in at the moment that its not really ideal for him to going back out in to build his confidence back up.
He'll decide tomorrow if he feels like it or whether to just call it a day for this trip now, he still says he's had a great time overall though and is still glad he came.

Shit all the fillers cracked in the quarter

Seriously though, glad Ian and Chip are ok and the car still drives
Get back out tomorrow and get a good lap in mate

Does this mean I'm gonna have to wrestle those RS quarters out of my garage for you now??

luckily not a bad accident, but ridiculous bill for the armco damage that will probably not be replaced anyway. robbing cunts.

Just got back from the motorsport cafe. Left ian kelv ginge and kim there for a few more beers. We treked about 1.5 miles up a mountain to get to the karosell, where i then legged it across the track to get some awesome photos. Will upload when i get back. Off to bed now, off roading in the morning then plenty of laps in the afternoon, weather is looking good. Rick

Sticky, Ian most definatley needs to get the RS arches on rhrrenow, the damage is that minimal but the ideal oportunity to go that route.
I took him out for a moderate lap late on today and he felt a little dubious about doing it again, I think it's up to him if he feels comfortable to do so tomorrow afternoon.

Just got back to our room after a couple if extra beers out with Ian and Ginge (cheers Ginge )

If you see me up there this evening and fancy a run round on 4 wheels give me a shout

Rain must make life a pain as a biker.

We're up there from 5.15 to 7.30 local time - the only times it's open today.

For those watching the web cams, that's 4.15 pm today till 6.30pm in England.

Quick pic I'd like to share, it needs no explanation once I mention Chip was driving:

Off roading rocks the most!

We also now have an 8.25 lap on proper video, to replace the wobbly camera work of the 8.34 vid shown in my siggy.

Not as fast as I'd hope, but despite the extra power I now have, the handling is slightly worse than my Black evo, and I think with some more laps there may be a bit more time to be saved.

Will upload it as soon as I can.

Have been to the Ring and havent seen a lot of cossies though, only 2..

One from the UK:

Watch the orange S1 in the background:

And a very nice one from Holland:

Then saw this beast:

What a car!! Was standing next to an EVO VIII but this new Focus RS really stands out from the croud!

Not captured solo on camera, but I also saw 2 RS turbo's from the UK. One orange S1 'B18 PWR' and a grey one with decals from NMS. Saw the last one going on the Ring.
Also saw the Reyland Focus doing a trip at it, very nice to see it in real life.

Finally saw this car when I was waiting in the traffic, think someone from here??

went out yesterday was on for a 8.30 just catching a guy on a zx6r come up to the last corner and this guy dident even attempt to make the turn and ploughed into the barrier at easy 100mph. bounced off the bike and landed very hard i got off and run down the track to slow cars from running over him or hitting his bike. was not a nice sight he was out cold thought he was dead had blood comeing out of his mouth then some german lads stopped and were panacking trying to take his lid off. i could here him snoring then so shouted at them to leave him alone. but evantually he came round the doctors checked him over he seemed to get away without anything broken but they air lifted him anyway think he was ok. i had to go in the office and give a quick statement a german guy said he highsided i said he dident he never attempted the turn just went straight on. not very nice seeing a crash like that but as soon as the ring opened again i went straight back out did a 9.55 very slow but made it round ok .
