First German update coming up!
We have all made it here first off
But not without dramas. It took ages getting here as we had lots of fuel stops, odd diversions, 2 identical sat navs suggesting different routes etc!
Little bit of rain on the last 100 miles or so but today it's nice and dry
Weather is cool/ pleasant, but overcast. Dry on the ground though which is good.
Ring opens 2.15 local time, so 1.15 UK time. Look out for us on the web cam, we hope to go out all together as soon as they open the track for some siting laps. Quite a few of the group not been before or not driven the Ring.
Dramas with the cars:
Ian's Reyland Focus lost a bit of brake fluid when part of the twin cylinder pedal box pipe work came loose / off. All fixed now.
Ginge nearly ran out of fuel- Tom Tom saved us with a 3 mile cross country detour to a local village. Car was kangerooing badly!
My new Evo - wiper blade nearly fell off @ 115mph while trying to debug my windscreen. Zip tie repair FTW
Dave Yum Escort is sadly not so healthy
We stopped in a layby for a break, only for Dave to pop the bonnet and notice dreaded mayonaise / chocolate milkshake goo pouring out of the header tank cap. Oil is somehow getting into the water - suspect it's cracked oil/water way in the block, possible head gasket leak between seals on oil and water way, or perhaps turbo seals. Either way no hard use for Yum. Dave limped car with regular water flushes to the hotel, and is calling the AA as I write to get his car home and get a hire car.
Last night we all went to Pinochhios for massive Pizzas that over hang the plates plus a few beers to celebrate all making it
I went to bed around 11pm having been awake for 36 hours in total
Right now, everyone is tinkering with cars ready for a bit of a guide tour for the new guys of the area and viewing points of the Ring etc.
As said we should be on the Ring 1.15 UK time till 6.30 uk time. If you watch and refresh the web cam images you should see us in the que for the track - can someone try and do a screen grab of it?
I'll try uploading some pics next, and questions just fire away

Team HOTHOT!
D'oh about Daves car, that must be a real pisser going all that way and not being able to enjoy it
I can't wait - personlly, only 12 days to go then its me going over with my significant other (who has never been there before) AlexF and a few close friends for a more personal trip
Only problem is the E39 is in many pieces with no propshaft, exhaust, driveshafts - what have I started
Roll on the phonecall saying my propshaft is ready for collection within the next day or 2 then its time for 200 miles hard driving to test everything and hope that the new LSD works without fault
Nothing like leaving things untill the last minute

Graceland, a trip in any car without a bit of lastminute.com antics is just no fun.
Im going in Sept and im sure my car wont be ready until the night before the ferry

Team HOTHOT!
You're right there - it all adds to the excitement for me, getting everything done, rushing round like a pilchard and panicing
List of things to do
Fit new propshaft
Refit driveshafts
Refit under tray plating
Refit Exhaust
Fit new front discs
Fit new front pads (EBC Yellow Stuff, they come highly reccomended on the Big5)
Fit new front polybushes
Fit new front suspension top mounts
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
So much to do and so little time

Glad he got here too!
Ian is a sound lad, and properly hard core for driving for 6 hours on his own before he even met up with us in a stripped out noisey car!
Most of yesterdays journey was so hot, he must have been sweating buckets with no air con and plastic windows
Dave seems ok on the outside, guess he's been there done that with breakdowns. Helen was very upset about it all as Dave has worked so hard to get it ready.
We'll make sure they get plenty of laps in with the other cars, and Yum will be back on the road soon once back in the Uk with the right tools and parts.
Car tinkering nearly finished, photos nearly all uploaded.
Sun now out
