I took my pipercross one off my GTI and put standard box back on with a K&N element, runs much better!

 

i had a K&N 57i on my 1.6 and coupled with a powerflow/rage exhaust, it gained 6.1bhp

if you've got a bit of cash to spend, the Viper filter from pipercross seems to be a good option

 

K&N mate but if you want loadsa induction roar the PiperX is the daddy.

A mate of mine put a Viper on his MG zr, he took it off in less than a week as he felt it was strangling the car, he then bought a Teipan from Quikshift which is like half the price and is now more than happy with it.
