I doubt it 99.99% ....
If it DOES have 500 bhp on 4 greys, then the fuel pressure needs to be
turned up alot. BUT it will be so rich off boost it would smoke !!!!
Even then, the HIGH pressure diffential across the injectors will eventually
destroy/degrade the injectors internal moving parts !!!

pressure is turned up but this has disadvantages.
It is more likely that the rolling road where measurements are taken
are inaccurate and 20-30 bhp can be a difference depending
on conditions (air temperature/tyre pressure/atmospherice pressure etc)

I know this is really going to upset so many people but it is possible.
I little while ago I went up to Nobles rollers and managed 520bhp on 4 greys on my own car.
This required a base fuel pressure of 4.5bar as opposed to 3.5bar and of course the rest of my fuel system is'nt standard.
I remapped the car for this increase in fuel pressure off boost and ended up with a perfect fuel map for greys capable of 500+ runnign a 4.5 bar base pressure.
Now whilst this may not be the normal thing to do I honestly wanted to see if it was achievable and it was.
I obviously don't advise doing this on a totally std fuel system, or without an 044 pump as on boost at 2 bar you will need 6.5 bar pressure which in order to flow enough fuel at that pressure will require at least one, preferably 2 044 pumps.
To be quite honest its easier to simply swap to 1000cc units and have the car mapped properly, but there is proof it is possible!!!

Well i got 480bhp on greys at paul hills
earlier this year at 28psi
and at Interpro 1 month later i had 476bhp
So i am happy![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
maybe the rollers are not 100% accurate but a lot of people quote figures from the same rollers on this board so i am happy to do the same..
12 months now and the Engine is fine
Standard Head bolts and a Cometic Head Gasket which i might add has been used before

I know of 3 tuners who ran 5bar line pressure and an uprated pump with 403s at 95% duty cycle and around 510bhp over 10 yrs ago folks, so like Martin said, bugger all new there at all... still a shite idea though, even if its a very old shite idea
Fact is, modern injectors make this practice the worst option when we can do it with std or even lower fuel pressure nowadays by utilising larger injectors. Id suggest 750cc items on L8 or aftermarket management personally.

yer stu.
but i did not say they were greys!
how about four 800cc bosch injectors back in 88 on the old girl. and the other fuel rail/injectors not used/needed,
oh and a bigger fuel rail.

no fault stuf,
try bigger braided fuel lines with swurl pot and four fuel pumps all controled by the bosch motortronic 2.8 ecu.
i know its 5.7 bar as it has a dash display and when i check with eggenburger confurmed this is whot they run,

well looks like it!
they also used good old cable ties to hold the brake cooling ducts on!
still there only where the rear diff motor is and then they all go inside the car.
