What about the sightings of the man carrying a child.

I don't know about your kids but certainly at 4years old if my child was taken out of bed and carried they would almost certainly have woke up, especially if it was a stranger.

The witnesses said that they saw a man carrying a child going past the apartment, there was also sightings about half a mile away.

Now I'm no criminal mastermind but if I'd just abducted a child I'd want to flee the area rather quickly. I wouldn't want to take the chance that the child would wake up and bring attention to the fact that I was trying to abduct them. Why would you try to carry the child away for that distance? Wouldn't you rather have a car close by so you could get away quickly without people seeing you?

Also, if I had left my Children alone, which I never would, and someone went past carrying a child as I went to check on them. Two and two would come together, surely? Even more so in the middle of the night.

Sadly id have to agree with Sarah on this one. People very very very rarely kidnap children for them to "just" live a new life somewhere else.

I have my doubts about it being a kidnapping anyway, BUT if she was kidnapped then however horrible it may seem, there is almost certainly abuse of some kind being the motivation and if shes still alive then she will be pretty fucked in the head at the very least.

Personally i think she was dead a long time ago and is in a shallow grave somewhere.

I dont believe she was kidnapped. Peadophiles are not stupid. They are sick in the head, not stupid!!! They will not do something so public likely to cause a media frenzy like with madeliene because it is highly likely to get them caught and put in prison, and most of them DONT want to get caught.

If the sickos in the child sex rings want a white girl then its a sad fact they will get one from eastern europe/russia much easier and with very little risk of getting caught.

 

i try not to leave my kids in a different room for fear of them doing themselves a mischief, let alone leaving the house

leaving them for however long they left them (30-45 minutes depending on who you listen to) is just too risky to comprehend

being that they were in another contry and the ligths were off and they would have had a tipple or 3 is just taking things to the next level

they should have, rightly, been prosecuting for child neglect if nothing else

guilty or not, i know they have lost a child and their children have lost a sister, but it doesn't absolve them of their parental responsibility to have been looking after their kids rather than going down the pub to get pissed with their mates

Theres just summit not right about her, watched that documentary last night and she has just handled it too well,never mind 2 yrs you would NEVER get over ya child being kidnapped in those awful circumstances, and for the life of me I just cant understand at what point it seemed logical to leave two 1 yr olds and a 3 yr old in a hotel room in Portugal when they were 5 minutes up the road,its just beyond me that one.Something not right about it at all.

I find the whole saga really harassing as I've got a little girl the same age.

 

I cant watch them two as they make my blood boil, as any parent with young kids know going abroad with young kids is hard work and you have to make sacrifices but not those 2 twats.

Typical upperclass attitude get the kids to bed and lets go enjoy ourselves any decent parent would have been in the apartment having a drink but watching the kids, not them lets go out for a meal and check on them every so often, i feel sorry for the other kids with fuckwit parents like that

 

TBH the problem is bigger in the working/lower classes where the sheer numbers causes the issues. Look at the CHAV culture, culture of broken familys, benefit scroungers, teen pregnancy rates etc etc etc and you will find by raw numbers, the rich people neglecting kids is FAR outnumbered by other social groups doing so. Such behaviours are not restricted to a class BUT there is clear proof that social/economic deprivation IS linked to increased numbers of neglect, crime, etc etc etc etc etc

I'm not for a second defending them as I think what they did was utterly negligant, but I don't think for a second that the other kids are in the slightest bit 'at risk' so care would definitely not be the answer. They're also serving a sentence far far worse than life imprisonment!

its a horrible thing that happened but well never know the true story. i would never leave my daughter alone for even 5 mins while i went out. also if there wasnt such publicity and sympathy for them, surely they must be charged with neglect? maybe im being overly paranoid as a teen parent but if my fiancee and me went to the pub for the night and left our child alone and we were found out social services would be involved, the police, and our daughter would be put into care. other thing that winds me up is that they are both doctors, in a position to help others and give advice yet they dont have the sense to look after their own daughter? someone needs to look at that

 

I think one of the parents killed her by accident, but the circumstances would have ment the parent would end up in prison, So they hid the body.

 

i dont believe your average mr and mrs joe public could accidentally kill their child and instead of phoning an ambulance/police etc they hatch a plot on the spur of the moment to cover it up,and cover it up so well theyve got away with it especially since neither have cracked by now, the non guilty party would have by now i think.
