Fair Play to Steve letting me take my engine out at his place...

i have it out and striped down ready for rebore ...i have checked the crank which seems to be mint still but one of the main shells was copper this was on gernal no 2

I'm so lucky really and i'm am very glad that the car stated to missfire that time at Castle Comb because i know now the engine was about to explode or knock ....

I am taking the gearbox out and putting in a another recondtioned box which is being done by Tal/Dome at the min , i will be taking out the diff and having that checked over so basically all my running gear will be mint again which should last a full season hopefully with a bit of luck.

My engine wil be the same spec as before

The turbo/crank/rods/block/cams are pukka still flywheel will need a skim

so i'm pretty happy with that over all

i did have a bit of a problem getting the engine out because the sump is fooking massive i can't belive how big it is .........i'll take a pic of it beside the block just to give you an idea ...

Just been to collect mine from Scottys. Once again he has sorted me out Fixed the wheel bearing and Simon did a few other jobs for me so I could get the car home. She is FLYING

No 3 is fooked not the bore just the piston , the head is scrap , i thought it was something to do with the casting inside the head but it wasn't ... a bit of the seat broke away thats the bit of metal that stuck to the head and piston

they are big sumps arn't they ,fook me i had a job getting the engine out ,

but they are very good and made very very well it's a credit to brains ,he knows his stuff

i think they hold 7.5 litres of oil aswell
