Default EBAY rant

I've seen people post about how shit it is now but up until this weekend its been fine for me. I had a 205 exhaust 2 bikes and a sub, amp, power cap, wiring all together all on for a 5 day listing.

All i had with the exhaust was requests to end it early as they were desperate blah blah whats my buy it now and will i take a postal order.

If they read the listing it clearly states paypal or cash on collection, no buy it now offered. I let it run and i made £10 more than i expected.

All the stereo stuff finished early this morning with 17 people watching and 1 person bid at the starting price £20 i've relisted it as it didn't make reserve and this joker emails asking what my reserve is and i should just let it go i've got no chance of getting what i expect for it as its ebay and he's lost hundreds on there! i replied and he's come back in txt spk innit "u wont sell it. idiot" The reserve is fair imo and i've got a £90 buy it now the amps in its box and its not the usual scag its all looked after.
Not desperate for the cash just the mrs doesn't want me to fit it and i cant afford to get the rest of the system AND have it all fitted professionally as i need new headunit and fronts comps. Just thought i'd get it all out of the way and get new gear when the time comes.

I'm done with it now after this, had some good deals and on the whole its been spot on and how it should be but i can't be arsed with all the dumb shits and chancers.

the bloke messaging should keep his nose out. your offering it at a price if doesnt want it at the price then tuff doo doo. Dont be bullied into selling it cheaper. sometime its best to wait and get your asking price instead of selling it cheap to get your cash or to get it out the way quicker.

I watched the same stuff being sold that finished before i listed and based my price on that and as i said its fair and i expect it to achieve the reserve i'm not expecting it to rake in loads!
When i replied i said i'd listed it to sell it not to get free advice on what he thinks its worth.

Could have just kept his opinion to himself, theres plenty of things i look for and see them as being steep but i don't email them and say so in the hope they'll drop the price.

fuzzy, he's the only bidder on the relisting at the minute though and he bid first then sent the messages later so he's obviously just after me dropping the price.

Either way imo its out of order, if you don't like the price move on. Just shows the level of the people using it now.

keyboard warriors threatened to knee cap me as i was less than polite about his input

on a side note he said i've left my paypal registered address on show, i figure he's bluffing as he's got the area wrong but just to make sure i don't have a 10st keyboard crusader on my doorstep i thought your address was hidden until someone buys off you.

it is. Only the winning bidder of your auction can see your full address. Only your city will be shown to all so buyers know where the item is located in the UK for collection purposes.

also add him to your blocked bidders list so he cant bother you in the future.

it's the watchers that get me. I listed my Mondeo alloys earlier this morning and have already got 7 watchers. No bids. 1 email asking for a buy it now price. Only asking £50 to start the auction. Still its better than when I was selling my MGB a couple of years ago. It ended after a week with 99 watchers and no bids.

I had 17 watching my sub and bits and one bid had a handful of emails asking for BIN price. Same with the 205 exhaust i put it at £5 starting bid and collection only as i couldn't be arsed to post it, loads asked for postage so i priced it up, even after that one bloke still wanted me to travel to bar hill and meet him halfway for £10 petrol money, told him it was £14 to post and he wanted to pay by postal order despite it saying paypal and cash only.

Full of idiots that really shouldn't be allowed near a computer. To renew my faith the people that have bought my stuff so far have been cool to deal with. *touches a big piece of wood!

Off topic - pete where abouts are you in peterboghorror? Should get a meet together locally, a few are trying to sort something out on ffoc.

Theres a regional section for lincs/cambs on there its a bit slow but they're trying to get a meet organised central to both counties.

I've not been to any shows for 2 years so i'm hopefully getting out to some more this year.

Might be at FITP if i'm not doing anything else but we're hopefully going to Chatsworth as i've never been and looks like a good show.

If we can get it all co-ordinated over on ffoc we should be able to get a good turnout for a run to some shows and a local meet sometime soon.

I'm in Jimmy Deeping btw.
