Default Painting suspension parts.

What paint do you all use to paint your suspension parts with.Do you use the soft hamerite.I wanna paint all the bits black,i also wanna paint my petrol tank too cause ive noticed most of my suspension bits and the tank look really rusty.

hemmerite, id use a brush on the shocks though, as the spry is like water and very weak and takes a few coats, and 90% of the time you will get runs

Hamerite it is then.I painted them last year and cause ive used the car over the winter it all looks a bit rusty now.

sorry i thought you meant suspension as in shocks?

if you mean rear beam etc, id go powdercoat, will cost you about £60-£100 max to have everything underneath blasted and powdercoated

tank will need to be sprayed though

Powdercoat them...

Otherwise you'll have to paint the parts every year, after the winter....

not as expensive as you'd think. as said paint will be rusty again within a year or so

I've always found powder coating looks and lasts better, if you send everything you want doing at the same time you can sometimes get a good deal.

Or well i thought it would be dearier than that.I just dont really have the time to take all the bits off the car though.Thanks people.
