Went to my local dealer today to order a new plastic mud shield for under the front wing of my 04 fiesta. £33+ vat!!! daylight robbery. john.n

Car was damaged-hence the new one. Found one on ebay for £15, to my mind still a lot of money for plastic-considering its a by-product of oil. When you buy a gallon of oil you dont expect to pay extra for the plastic container, and thats the same material as the mudguard is made from! I dont mind paying for anything but hate being ripped off! john.n

i don't think you got ripped off dude! and its not just a question of buying a by-product of oil either... taking into consideration the amount of time and cost to make the machine that makes them i don't think 30 odd quid is a ripp off!
