Finally...
After 18mths of searching and dealing with muppet estate agents and viewing over priced tat I found a house priced sensibly with an estate agent who didn't speak too much bollocks.
Had the offer accepted, deal agreed and underwritten by mortgage company, solicitor instructed- am just waiting for valuation (which I already have from a buyer that feel through so know is ok) and all the searchs and job done.
I got a great mortgage deal. 5.99% over 35 years with 10% deposit and no fee's.
House is a 2 bed semi, needs a bit of work internally- Central Heating, Bathroom, Kitchen, redecoration and maybe some wiring which is all easy enough.
Ideally wants a Dropped curb and a driveway if funds allow.
Structurally seems sound which is good.
Location is awesome (proper solihull, near the centre) and the best bit is it has a double garage in the back garden.
Not bad for a first time buyer eh?
Now- to call in all the favours... ha ha....
Ciao

Nice one...welcome to being skint lol.
What are the penalties for early repayment on that Mortgage deal you have, interested as I have a long term fixed myself, albeit at a lower rate

I dont imagine being in till End of August by the time I have done all the work I need- thats if I do it, I might sell it on or rent it out- depends what the work situation is at the time.
Its with the natwest and the early repayment charges are 5% 4% and so on over the 5 years.

Hahahaha... smart arse's...
THanks tho.
I'll pop some pics up saturday as I am going to measure the kitchen up.
As for where abouts- just off the cross roads with Seven Stars Road and Load Lane, about 500m from the Hospital, can't really get much more 'Solihull' than that.
