Default mt75 viscous coupling modification help?????

I am looking at using a mt75 for a project.

From my understanding the box provides a torque split of 34% front and 66% rear. i was wondering if it is possible to modify the mt75 gearbox so that the output from the transfer box, which usually drives the front wheels could be made to provide the 66% proportion opposed to the rear wheel drive shaft output.

therefor in theory giving a 66% front and 34% rear bias.

if possible what would need to be done.

cheers

Basically i am looking at using an mt75 gearbox in a mid engine 4wd layout. the gearbox will then be turned around and facing the opposite way.

so now the output that used to drive the rear wheels will drive the front!

to solve the problem of effectivly having 5 reverse gears and one forward gear the differentials will be turned over!!

you can buy a centre diff unit that gives you 50:50 split, the way to twll the differances is that the annulus (iirc) has four sun gears in it instead of the std three, also beware of turning diffs over, as the pinion bearings have oil guides in the lower sections of the diff, if you turn it upside down, it then has no oil supply
