Just a quick question is there a difference with a clio sport 172 and 172 cup or are they the same.

the cup is a lightweight version, same engine tho! kinda like the gti6 and the rallye!

The 172 cup dont have abs tho, strange i always thought!

the cup is what you end up with when youve owned a sport for 5 years and everything has fallen off. A good way for renault to charge you more for less.

Ive been round combe in the passenger seat of a lightly modded 172 cup, he was doing 1:23's with me in it (im 100kg)

Seriously good little cars.

the 172 cup is the quickest clio sport you can buy as std. have better camber angle, wider track, lower suspension, you dont need abs weighs more, has rear spoiler & lower splitter, only came in mondial blue & silver. doesnt have leather/ alacantra seats cos you dont need them, no a/c as weighs more, thinner windows, less sound deadning, all round a lighter better handling/looking car.

172 is poo, slowest recent clio sport, heavier, heigher, looks naffer. the later 172's have cruise control & an adaptive speed limiter which you dont need at all.

if you want best of both get a 182ff. tis what i used to have
