The meeting is the 1st wednesday of every month! Usually gets bigger and better in the summer!

Really dont see the big attraction with burn outs, especially somewhere as packed as that! The 3 door from 1:50 onwards looks like it has 3/4 properly close calls with parked cars and he still carries on!!

Looks to me like the white 3dr lad knows exactly how to position his car for a rolling burn out purposefully stopping it and lining it up with groups of people.

There are accidents at times, not seen any for a while though although Southend is a big place really.

I remember years ago watching people race up and down the sea front and there was a guy in a 3 door doing doughnuts after where the parking ends, whilst he was drifting out of site of his lane a 306 Rallye came down the seafrotn at warp 10 and the 3 door ended up being T boned, that was a proper accident and although we could see it coming there was nothing anyone could of done.

Thankfully everyone was ok, the 3 door was totalled though

I watched that whilst the kettle boiled to kill a couple of minutes and it made me fall asleep again.

There are some close calls yeah...BUT most of the guys there are absolutely FANTASTIC and know exactly what theyre doing!

Ive been going for years... not regularly, but ive iive never seen any major accidents, but i am sure there may have been one or two!

i used frequent it at all times of year but now i cant be fucked when its raining or cold. im allup for a bit of fun but tbh when they do that so close to peoples cars it irritates me a bit.ok so they have good control etc and they are putting on a show but it fucks me off having my car covered in stone chips(that i didnt get going too fast) and burnt rubber!

You also get that type of thing, when i used to go down there there was always racing and burnouts, but that close to other cars is alittle much for me, one slip and they will twat something,

Very true!! I went down there once and it was actually alright, aside from all the tooling about!! Really mad to see such a huge selection of cars in one place!!

But you can also clearly see in the video, they are not racing.

I am not praising, nor condoning or frowning upon the guys that do the burnouts... a lot of them have a fantastic talent!

And it is well known, if you go to southend, you WILL get some people driving like idiots, and you will get some people showing off!

BUT

That is also a reason why some people actually go down there! The world would be a boring place if we all liked/disliked agreed/disagreed on the same things!

I was saying it can get dangerous very quickly, there's zero margin for error somewhere like that. As regulars have said not a massive accident rate though, so people are switched on at least

From what I've read on here, I thought Patrick was the Porsche... or was that Percy... I can't keep up with the names!!

Southend looks like a laugh as long as you're parked away from the cars kicking chuckies everywhere and standing up where its being filmed in case someones foot slips off the brake and pings forward unexpectedly. Probably a bit far for me to travel to ever experience it though.
