Year, engine size?

Earlys....engine can be left in but you will need to drill a hole in the box to release the clutch fork as they never come out like they are supposed to.....or if you dont wish to do that then big levers in and just muller the release bearing while the box is on its way out.

Later ones its and engine and box out job, front end comes off easy enough, rad, cooler etc but the wiring is bit of an arse. You'll need a range of jubilee cips aswell as the coolant hoses and bbost pipe.....get chopped off cos there shit.

IIRC ive done a few 53 plate ones,1.9 & 2.8jtd, Diddnt take the donkey out, no need on this shape, think they changed around 06, i know they defo changed in 07 as me dad has got an 07 new shape one. Bit of a pain to do, the pin never comes out of the fork to release the bearing. Not the greatest clutch to do, loads of bits n pieces to take off but the box comes out/goes in easily enough. Good luck

It clips into the cover so yes. At least its not a fiddley 306/xantia job, where you need arms like E.T to guide the fork behind the release bearing.
