You are quite the comedian... Ever thought of participating in a talent shoot out? You would sure have a chance, shooting lines like this one...

Mike i would guess i have more BHP at the wheels than you Plus less weight,Plus better aerodynamics...so in most circumstances its quicker..as to wether it would pull 7800rpm in 5th i have no clue...and seeing as i aint mapped it that far i aint gonna be trying
As to pulling a women...i pulled your Jen for you no probs...now thats a feat in its self

To clear out all misinterpretations ive been in contact with Fredrik, the owner of the 740 bhp Escort.
The car while drag-racing is full-interior+stereo and rollcage - backseat.
Besides the info on 402 m, on 201 hes been running:
6.8sek@179km/h with a 1.76 in 60-foot. Kev? Hafsengen?
The lack of 60-feets in his times are due to the fact that he is caring for his diffs... He did attempt a all-out attempt on a start at Säve once, with ALS, running 1.6 bar from start... Only to hear the 1st gear go into dust.
All of the times on 18" low-profile street-tires... No need in saying much more is there?
The plans for the next season are more seriously concentrated on drag, using another management system, the swedish NIRA i3 ( http://www.niramotorsport.com ), as well as 15" streetrace tyres + a few other nice bits and pieces if i know his type
So far the car has been just for the fun of it... Having a car capable of running GREAT times on drag, low costs, full driveability... How many of those are there?

It would bee nice too see Fredrik doing the 1/4-mile with upprated diffs and an Dogbox...
He can borrow my R&D to try ... but if he brakes it he pays it ... Then i can by the new ratios from Martin R

Kev,
That has got to be the most stupid post one here .
I would want to know how fast ANY high power Cosworth was . Sorry I asked, but if you look at the reply, even your Rhonda has a faster top speed - although by comparison, your car would take about 10 times as long to get there .
And if you think that I don't like the Norwegian car, then you REALLY are as stupid as I think you are .

Just a reason to build something worse for track then... Surprise! its not impossible... Though well costly probably... We will find out about that in the end
The ones mapping and partly tuning Fredriks Escort is www.vmperformance.com . This site is in swedish, regretably enough.

Now i can back up those times on fredde`s car, it`s got amazing power in an extreemely simple way.
Actualy, i`m building an new engine as a sort of a "copy" of freddes, but a little different and a smaller turbo BUT still as simple as his....
Are looking forward to se the results of this...
Now, my old engine with about 400bhp and a fixit gearboks (same as freddes) dit improove about 1/3 of a second generaly, just by the longer 1 gear it has, so would realy se freddes car with an R&D og kevins gearboks on it
By the way, he IS driving with standard diff`s... have seen this with my one eyes...

Hehe, we all like that picture Fredrik!
Wanted to add something, take a good look at Fredriks right tyre in the picure above and you will notice how much of the tyre that has been in contact with the tarmac. Why... Well lets present some pictures:

This is what his Bilstein dampers looked like! And hes been driving quite carefully on the road, besides the 402-meter-drags. When asking bilstein about this, they refuse to be of any assistance at all. This is in my point of view really fucked up, how the hell can this actually happen!? All of the bushings are top class, for example including adjustable tca in front, all the chassis geometry were, obviously, great. A real shame for Bilstein this!
This explains a bit about the traction problems hes been having as well.

I had the same with my left front Bilstein. The guilty part was the part that holds the bearing and hub dunno what it is called in english. It was a little bit used on the inside and too loose. Strut was moving inside and there was more impact from holes in the tarmac on the strut co it bend... I had to buy a new one.
By the way- isn't it a little primitive suspension for such expensive BIG BHP engine?
