i think the decent thing would have been to keep paul in the picture and as he had agreed to buy the car first at least given him the chance to up his bid-if he wanted to.
to sacrifice the sapphire it must have been a car he really wanted to buy..........

I would have called ( me ) the buyer and said , look i have been offered 4k more , do you want to half the 4k

that way i get 2k more , the buyer gets 2k for the let down and the fact they sold there car etc

that way , we ALL win , i get 2k extra , the buyer gets 2k and the new buyer gets the car he wants

everones a winner

BUT, if the buyer says NO i want my car then 100% honesty they get the car

I am a man of my word and i have proved this as i have kept my word to phil even tho

when did you tell me you had higher bids ? other than the one you said you had BEFORE you agreed to sell to me at the agreed price because in your words

You told me you rang the other buyer who offered 1k more and said " money talks bulshit walks " do you want it or dont you , and there reply was they couldnt raise the money for some weeks , and this wasnt good enough for you so you called me back and said the car was 100% mine at your full asking price

you then told me on sunday that people were ringing you asking if the car was for sale , you DID NOT tell me you had more higher offers and you were thinking about them , all you asked was is it ok to meet this coming weekend , so after asking that why would i think our deal was at risk

End of the day justin i took you at your word , i quess its my fault for being stupid to think you were a man who kept your word

him buying a car in ONE deal is the business pauls into, buying and selling cars and breaking them, restoring etc..... and more to the fact he seems a really genuine fella, and from what i've seen on here he posts facts and hes a man of his word. i've never met him or dealt with him presonally but a close friend mike owned pauls latest white 500 and said he was a really decent knowledgeable guy to speak to regarding anything ford.

the seller of the escos was playing off how many different people in a price war, without keeping the person he'd give his word to in the picture as to whats going on with the deal.

I am a man of my word - if i put a car up for x, and i get offered x, the car gets sold

if another person comes along and offers me x+y for it, im sorry the car is already sold!

if however the first buyer chipped my price down to only w, and the second buyer offered me x, id phone the first buyer and offer them the chance to up there offer

But on the basics of it, You advertise your car at price x for the reason you see its value at x, or x is what you need for it to get whatever your having next! I have the morals to stand up and say if a buyer comes in and offers me more and i have accepted a price, to at least call the original buyer and split the difference with them or sell the car to them as i had agreed
