heard some big top speed claims today
a claimed 200mph out a 500bhp evo6 and wait for it ....... yes a claimed 220mph out a evo8 running 750bhp all proven apparently and within 1.6 miles what you think cos evos are not my thing

Not inside 1.6 ,probably not all all as iirc you need alot more than 500 in aan evo to get there and you'll need massive amount to get to 220, over 1000hp easy.

Untill these incredible times the figures below looked good.
Simon Norris had 738bhp dynoed when he ran 200.4mph at Brunters in his EVO.
The brunters record is 223mph in a very aero-dynamic Porsche with a dynoed 990bhp. Fastest uk based car Joels viper with 215.8mph with over 900 proven bhp.
These cars must have found a way of beating the laws of physics
possible i suppose.

Hmmmm. Having worked on a couple of 900bhp Evos that pulled just over 200mph at TOTB i'd be surprised if it could be done with 500bhp within those confines...

201 mph.. but i think it would do more if it was geared!??

the same lad nows off a 200mph+3 door with 550bhp he says it does it as it has a viper 6 speed box i spent ages argueing with him today and he not have any off it lol
