That is actually a serious question and would appreciate a link to something on Play or wherever. I don't normally like taking the piss out of things without at least experiencing a bit of them.

Although I did the same with High School Musical and now I'm a massive fan. So much so in fact that I had a Wildcats cheerleader outfit made up to fit me.

Go Wildcats.

this is a very difficult question to answer without it becoming very long winded, even longer than a normal long winded dojj post

what you have to remember is that there are approxamatly 6 hours of telivised wwe footage per week, that's raw, smackdown, and the other shows that fill in for the dark matches (matches that are not telivised and are purely there for the attending crowds viewing, much in the same way as i went to a recording of QI that lasted 2 and a half hours but it was edited down to only 30 minutes)
plus you have the ecw shows, and the tna shows, and all the various indipendants
PLUS the 2 shows the wwe put on that don't get telivised every week, so you are probably looking at between 30-40 hours of shows per week over the different promotions
and then you have their individual styles
the japan wrestling is very techincal, but the american stuff is very showboaty and flambouant, where as the tna stuff or noah is a mix between the 2

so i don't want to recommend you a title that you won't like because then you will just say it was shit and base all your onions on that one showing

perhaps it will be easier, and far free'er, to go to youtube and punch in something like wwe funny moments to bring up a whole selection
rock and sock is another good one, kurt angle, stone cold steve austin and mankind also make some good ones

for an individual match, there are a few that really are stellar matches that stick out, one being macho man randy savage vs ricky the dragon steamboat for the intercontinental championship at wrestlemania 3, arguably the best match in the history of wrestlemania

or, if you like lots of blood and guts and mayhem, then you HAVE to see undertaker vs mankind hell in a cell, where mankind get's bumped off the top of the cell, a drop of a good 15 or so feet, onto his head and shoulder, dislocated his shoulder and some teeth and get's a concusion, yet still carries on wrestling

or if you just want to see good old fashioned slogging, put in iron man match to see guys going at it for 60 minutes, or ladder match to see they using ladders and getting into real trouble, or even tlc (tables ladders and chairs) where the object of the match is to put your opponent through a table before he can do the same to you (the dudley boys were very good at this, d'von and bubba ray)

once you have figured out what sort of style you like, i'll give you some pointers on which discs to look at

wrestlin with shadows though, doesn't fullfil paddy's criteria about watching something that will make him understand pro wrestling mate

it's all about bret's story which, to be honest, is a bit doom and gloom

Cheers Dojj. I just ordered the Wrestlemania 3 + 4 DVD and watching a few auctions of the others if they come out under a tenner.

The missus is excited as she's a wrestling fan.

Jesus wept.

mania 3 and 4 are right up there as the pinicale of the golden years mate, you've made a very good choice there

mania 3 is hugely overshadowed by the hogan andre match but there were some proper crackers out there, even a midget match

and the tournement for the belt at mania 4 is another classic, there is even a bloke called slick, who's like snoop doggy dogg

and just listen to this

you lot seem to forget that you will queue up for hours to get into the likes of ford fair every year, but a possible once in a lifetime opportunity to meet a proper legend of the wrestling world and you all become snobs

So Meeting a Childhood Hero is Gay?

Sorry mate, but if you didn't have any dreams when you were a kid (which i'm sure you have) you aren't a happy child.

Nothing wrong with fulfilling a Childhood Dream. Its GAY that you would never make one of your Childhood Dreams come True.
