when i crank my YB without plugs in there is air pressure pulses from the engine breathers - why is this? if two pistons go down then two also go up at the same time thus the volume of air in the block remains the same surely?

the engine is in perfect condition and whilst the (two) breathers may be in different parts of the block (usual points) i can't see this being relevant anyway - why the pressure pulses?

Its dependant on the interbay breathing area. The air will always go the path of least resistance, which in this case must be the breathers.

yep, wouldnt worry about it, the breathers must be closer to the bottom of the pistons than the other oppositely moving pistons
