when i crank my YB without plugs in there is air pressure pulses from the engine breathers - why is this? if two pistons go down then two also go up at the same time thus the volume of air in the block remains the same surely?

the engine is in perfect condition and whilst the (two) breathers may be in different parts of the block (usual points) i can't see this being relevant anyway - why the pressure pulses?
