anyone any ideas on what 5 speed gearbox fits a mk1 xr2 fiesta

 

A mk2 will fit the engine but not the car. You used to be able to do a conversion.....

awrite cheers that kit doesnt look that hard to make miby try make one first a take it u need to cut the chasis leg to get the box in

 

I remember reading an article on it years ago but can't remember the detail, but you could get a patch to weld in with a cut-out for the gearbox.

 

awrite no problem well see what happens with it

 

I've done this home made style, basically the 5 speed box is about an inch and a half longer so yes you need to cut chassis leg. No need to buy the kit if you're half competent with a weld set and a grinder.

Nooooo thats just a pic I use in my sig.... my escort cossie is hopefully 480bhp not the fez.

I got rid of my fez a while back as it was rusting on my drive and I felt guilty.

I do still have a panique bodykit though, same as the one in the pic to go on my next fez.

 

mine had a 1.7 crossflow with 5speed box in,looked like my inner wing had been cut slightly for it?

 

awell kool wheres the best place tae find a box ebay or something
