Sadly, that was not the words spoken by a young lady when talking about my manhood
I got a new TV, and just got it set up;
50" Samsung I mean I knew it was gonna be big, but fuck me, I wasn't prepared for it to be THAT big lol....
Anyway, enough showing off

Stu - I'd have loved a Panny, or better still I pioneer, but this only cost me Ł650, brand new in never opened box, and still with 4.5yrs John Lewis warrenty
Mike - for perspective - that unit is 150cm long (nearly 5ft!) and the picture above it is a meter wide!
I must admit I think it's slightly over exuberant, and does smack off "ooh, look how big my TV is" when someone walks in the room, but then I think "fuck that" and just watch a movie lol.....
(PS, youporn never looked so good )

I remember when I bought my 32" CRT TV, was ok size in the shop, got it back home and woooahhh..
Although when this 50" was delivered, it was a struggle to get the box in the house
When we move house, I'm having 2 things, a 60" pioneer full hd and a 5-6ft fish tank inthe wall that you can see from 2 rooms

That's fecking huge!!!!!
What's the pic quality like? I went for a 36" LCD last year and the picture is rubbish unless your watching HD. Especially for sport.

It's not bad actually! I was expecting at that size, with regular DVD and Freeview for it to be blocky and pixel'ly but it's actually pretty good - get up close to text on screen like BBC news etc and you can see artifacts, but general watching is fine.
Got the DVD (regular, not HD) connected by both component cable and HDMI and there's very little in it - HDMI is a bit sharper, and is reporting 1920x1080i res - and the computer connected by VGA is superb! Was running it at 1920x1080 for 1:1 pixel mapping, but switched that down to 1360x768 just to make the text and icons a bit larger and easier to see. But it's clear as fuck (I was running that PC into a CRT TV using s-video!) and dvd/avi playback through the computer is stunning!

Glen - thats what I've just gone from - a 36" Toshiba CRT, which had such a WICKED picture! And the speakers on that old TV were so much better than the ones in the plasma! Shame to see it go really, but time to move with the times lol....

That looks the absolute nuts of a setup!! Ive played Fifa and Pro Evo on a projector screen and thought it was a bit wank, but for first person shooters and racing games it must be awesome!! So discreet when not in use too!!
