You shouldnt feed any dog human food. Its far too high in salt once cooked with sauces etc and crisps are a no,no again high in salt.A dog's heart is so small compared to ours so when you feed them human food you are basically killing them as it reduces their lifespan
Mines get dog treats only with the exception of tuna pasta every so often or a milk and eggs drink after their food as a treat aswell but the likes of pigs ears, biscuits etc are their main things
Here's the lil devils hehe

our molly lives on roast beef, and gets tripe sticks for treats.
has a bit of chocolate now and again, and she likes boiled sweets - only if theyre still in the wrapper, she takes it off herself!

As a treat ours gets either a pigs ear or a raw chicken wing.
Both get demolised in minutes, and before people say "chicken bones are bad for dogs" they are when cooked.

As we found out the other week the Aldi Dog treats (well the sausages) make you dog fart like fuck. Could be because she is 10 ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
The things we never feed out dog is bread, this causes ear ache. Chocolate of any kind, Liver (as in meat) Tea, cheese. She has a dry mix with half a tin of ped chum.

I cannot believe what some of you feed your dogs! You are killing them!! Do you know a small custard cream type biscuit is the equivalent of two burgers to us??!!
They have very small stomachs and hearts and they simply cannot process and break down the kind of foods that we eat. Lets face it the foods stated above are not even healthy for us!!!
But if you must feed your dogs unsuitable foods please try and stay away from:
Bread
Chocolate
Grapes
Raisins
Cheese
Anything high in fat, salt or sugar.
They simply don't need alot to live off, and even the tinned dog food and all the pre packed treats are just full of shit!! Don't be sucked in by big brands as they are not necessarily that great for your pooch!!

we are normally treating our two with pig ears, dental chews, dog biscuits and mostly frozen chicken wings. every now and then they get small(half cm square)bits of cheese or sausage.
we also give them cod liver oil tablets before every meal to help their joints and coat.luckily the husky has a very high metabolism so burns off any fat very quickly too

the breeder we got our pedigree gsd from told us they should have biscuits and a bowl of water next to them so they can do the both at the same time.
they said it was far better than sloppy stinking meats that when the dog poops up the garden smell ropey, far better to have em crapping dry biscuits than sloppy dog toffy and theres the benefit to the health too

My lab is spoilt rotten! She gets just about everything that we eat every tea time. Not much i might add, but just a taster so she doesnt feel left out.
She'll sit at the side of us patiently waiting for us to finish, and then we always save a bit for her. Sometimes i do forget though and get a massive bark that scares me shitless every time, and a dirty look from her and then she walks off with the huff on.
As an extra special treat she will get a full dinner plated up a few times a week.
Spag bol and lasagne is her favourite though. And she hates lettuce, cucumber and tomatos. She'll dodge it if its in her bowl with other stuff, and if she takes it by accident she'll spit it out on the floor!
She had a bad experience with a cherry tomato when she was young. She nicked one out the fridge and was playing with it for a bit, then bit into it and shit herself when it popped in her mouth.
She's now scared to death of them!

I only ever give ours either carrot and sometimes a tomato, or a bit of bread when he needs to take tablets to disguise them.
If you generally feed them human food you'll make them ill and shorten their lives, ours is a lab and they'll just eat as much as you give them, we have our dog on a very controlled diet because he has problems with all of his legs and so has to keep his weight down, but as others have said labs will just beg and look at you to try and wear you down into feeding them more and more, how many obese labs have you seen, loads I bet. It's just too much food, the wrong types of food and lack of exercise.
Certainly don't feed them salty crisps ffs, I'm sure that can contribute to causing fits in dogs.
